We need to move date 7 days and seller is telling us that if we do that we would need to pay $75 interest.
Would getting an FHA appraisal be good enough reason to put closing on hold with out paying. This guy is slimy and seems to come up with every trick and excuse you can think of. Need legal reasons that he could not back out if we miss closing date by 7 days.

Say someone wants their child to be homeschooled, perhaps their school system is a bad one, maybe they are in a place where there are only religious schools around (I’ve lived in both kinds of places…or combinations. I’m currently in a place where the schools are awful, the public schools teach from the bible, and the only private one is a christian one which still slaps kids for bieng left handed)
But perhaps they either do not have the time, or they feel someone would be better suited to teach their child. Maybe this person was a teacher, maybe they teach their own same-aged child, maybe they just know more, who knows. Would it be legal? Would you have to get around laws and say this person is a tutor? Unless I misunderstood the judge during the reading of his rules regarding pleas and attorneys, he stated that if you plead not guilty and are appointed a lawyer because you cannot afford one, you will be required to pay the lawyer if you are found guilty. This does not sound ethical in opinion. The state is North Carolina. Please give me some feedback and explanation. It is the judicial branch that interprets the law, so who and when did this occur?

If you are a lawyer and you are questioning a witness on opposing council’s side, and you ask them a really good question that can basically discredit them but they don’t answer, can you object during your own questioning to non-responsive answer? Please only people with court room experience answer this, no offense but I’m studying for a mock trial and I don’t want to be mislead and then mess up in the competition.
